Comparing Link Advertisements – Which Works Best

If you are looking for the link advertising – which highlights a certain keyword from your content and when mouse hovers over it an advertisement displays. Then how much experiments you have done till now?

I guess not much but I have done quite a few and now I am ready with my review of the best link advertisement. Just a question first: Do Google penalizes this kind of advertisement also? LOL

On Comparison
When I compared by both good hit producing section of Infogle with two different advertisements – the results were pretty much clear who is the best.

Kontera and Infolinks: On my blog you will find that kontera advertisement has been placed and on my Link directory Infolinks has been placed both gets around similar hits.

But when I compared the results of both kontera was leading with a wide-wide margin – As Infolinks was way behind.

Now I don’t want to highlight the actual earning hurting the either one is what I don’t want. But if you ask me I will definitely go with kontera anytime.

Conclude
Though things for Infolinks were looking good but they did not highlight keywords as good as Kontera does – therefore, if you want to go with my choice then implement both for sometime and see the results.

Testing for a week would be okay to actually see what is working right – but still Kontera is best!

Thank you for the great review and i will make sure to dump Infolinks and their crappy irrelevant ads for Kontera. Any thoughts on how to optimize my site for these ads? For example what content works best, which keywords I should be focusing on and what is the best link color?

  2. Hi,
This is Jonathan from Kontera. Thanks for the favorable write up, we really appreciate the feedback!
In terms of your question about Google and In-Text ads, neither Google as a search engine, or Adsense as an ad network have any problem with In- Text ads. Ad networks aren’t factored in when Google decides the rank of your page, and Adsense has no problem with Kontera and Adsense being displayed on the same site, as their ads are displayed in completely different parts of a webpage, and don’t cannibalize each other’s clicks.
Once again, thanks for bringing up how Kontera is the industry leader in contextual relevancy. Because our algorithm is able to read for meaning, not just scan for keywords like competitors do, we’re able to provide you with the most relevant ads for your content, leading to higher CTR and better CPC.
Another advantage we provide is our exclusive ad inventory from such globally recognized brands as Microsoft, Dominos Pizza, Kmart, National Geographic, Volvo, L’Oreal and more. These premium, often Rich-Media ads are the most attractive to site visitors, have the best possible CPC, and are only available through Kontera.
For any of your readers interested, Kontera is currently offering new publishers a 70% revenue share, which is the best rate in the industry. We’re also offering new publishers a $50 bonus if they get at least 25,000 U.S. page views during their first 30 days on network, and have recently lowered our minimum payout threshold from $100 to $50, across all payment methods. The Infolinks minimum payment threshold varies between $50-$400.
You can learn more about the Kontera network on our Publisher’s Page: http://www.kontera.com/publishers

  3. Hi, this is Sarah from Infolinks. I appreciate your review on In Text advertising companies but am rather surprised by the results. Infolinks has won every a/b test, comparing us to a competitor, that people posted about. I’d like to invite you to send me your details so I can have a look at your account & optimization. Thanks.

    Hi Sarah,
Your apparent blatant lie about winning every A/B test is very interesting to read about. I read a great article (link included) about how you supposedly won an A/B test yet the publisher chose to use Kontera. Fishy much? I am certain that your open lies in this thread represent your business practices elsewhere.
